10% of the course credit are based on class participation. For
this class, it simply means attending all the student presentations
from beginning to end.
Starting with the first student presentation, a rowsheet will be available on the table in front of the class. Please sign it as soon as you get into class. The first talk will begin at 9:35am and the instructor will take away the rowsheet at 9:46am (according to the instructor's watch). If you sign the rowsheet before 9:46am, you will receive full credit for the lecture, provided that you do not leave before class ends. If you arrive during the first talk but after the rowsheet has been removed, please wait for the first talk to finish and then sign the rowsheet and check the "late" box. You will recive half credit for the lecture, provided that you do not leave before class ends. The rowsheet will not be available once the second talk starts. In case you have to leave during the 2nd talk, please make sure to send an e-mail to the instructor afterwards and ask to have your signature removed from the row sheet or to receive half credit for the session. If you are sick or have a family emergency, you must present a written note from a doctor to receive credit for the class. |
