A. Puliafito received the electrical engineering 
degree in 1988 from the University of Catania 
and the Ph.D. degree in 1993 in computer engineering,
from the University of Palermo. He is currently an 
assistant professor of computer engineering at the
University of Catania. 

His interests include performance and reliability 
modeling of parallel and distributed systems, 
networking and multimedia. Dr. Puliafito is 
co-author of the text 
 "Performance and Reliability Analysis of Computer 
  Systems: An Example-Based Approach Using the 
  SHARPE Software Package", 
edited by Kluwer Academic Publishers.
