(in reversed chronological order)
- 8/29/2010: Office hour on Monday, 8/30/2010, has been canceled. Sorry abou the inconvenience.
- 8/18/2010:
- If a student signs up late for this class or
could not be present at the beginning of the semester,
he/she is still required to turn all assignments on time
or he/she will receive a score of 0 for these assignments.
No exceptions!
- Due to limited space and equipment in
the laboratory, the class can only accomodate a small
number of students (less then or equal to 24). If you have a strong
interest to the class, prepare to register early. If you
are on the waiting list, the CS Department will give out
D-clearance according to the order on the list.
- Registering with the class mailinglist
is required for this class because you must get your
lottery password. This is not the same as the
class discussion Google Group.
You will be receiving HW and exam scores through this list
via individual e-mails.
If you haven't done so, please visit the
mailinglist page after the
semester starts. (You do not have to be registered for the course to
register with the class mailinglist.)
In the registration confirmation e-mail, you will also get your
user ID and password for accessing protected area of this web site.
- Watch this area for important announcements.

Prerequisites
|
- CSci402:
Operating Systems.
- EE
450: Introduction to Computer Networks.
- Qualify for a D-clearance. Please check the
CS department web page
for information about D-clearance. Please also read the
Placement
Exam Instructions carefully.
(Please note that the instructor will not sign anything
that says that you do not have to take the Placement Exam.)
- Recommended preparation: CS 551 and CS 555. Please note that the
lab exercises require knowledge of BGP4 (covered in CS 551).
We will not cover BGP4 in our class. So, if you don't know BGP4,
you need to learn it on your own before lab exercise #1 starts before
the end of the 3rd week of class.
